Creating Emily's Perfect Wedding Dress
Bride-to-be Emily first visited us at The Secret Fitting Room at the end of 2019. To say her wedding dress didn’t fit is an understatement!
Emily’s wedding dress was four sizes too big: the height and proportions of the dress were all wrong. So not only did her wedding dress need taking in, we needed to change the main construction of the dress too.
On top of these wedding dress alterations, Emily also hoped to change the square neck into a dropped sweetheart shape. We knew we could help.
Challenge accepted!
Our Wedding Dress Transformation Process
Our expert team got working their magic on Emily’s dress.
This included reworking the volume of the skirt which came down too low on Emily’s petit frame. We wanted to make certain the bustle to lift up the back of her dress was absolutely perfect.
Visits to our studio from Emily and her gran were such a pleasure through 2020. We talked about first dances and shed a lot of happy tears together.
Emily's Dream Wedding Dress Come True
As with so many brides we supported throughout the pandemic, Emily sadly had to keep postponing her wedding.
It was such a pleasure to finally see Emily and James have their beautiful wedding day in October 2020. They celebrated with their nearest and dearest at the stunning Mythe Barn in Leicestershire.
